Explanation: The fields are flourished for your The sun, the moon and the stars are actually for your splendour. The animals are created for your fidelity. Allah has created all worlds for you but you are just for Allah.

Allah Almighty has granted the great blessing of life to the humans. However, the life spent without any purpose could not be considered great. Certainly just to fulfill the basic needs like eating, drinking, sleeping, bringing up children or earning livelihood is absolutely not life. Allah has created man the noblest of all creatures which means he is the best creation. Eventually, all things of this universe are made subservient to the human beings. The sun, the moon, the stars, earth, atmosphere, mountains, fruits, flowers, rivers, in short all things of the universe are created only to fulfill the needs of humans. Also the angels are serving the humans alongside praising Allah. Infact some of the angels are busy in providing sustenance to humans whereas some are busy in showering the rain. Since Allah has created man so exalted hence the man must live his life with an exalted purpose.

As, only Allah is greater than the human beings, so purpose of human life should definitely be to please Allah and achieve His gnosis.

Why submission to the Divine will is important?

In the way of Faqr, submission to the Divine will is very exalted level. After this, the two ultimate and most important levels of inward are achieved, which are the Divine vision and presence in the Mohammadan Assembly.

Allah Almighty says:

Meaning: And with regard to adopting the religion, who can be better than the one who submits his whole being entirely to Allah, whilst he also holds spiritual excellence (the vision of Allah.)  (4:125)

Meaning: Yes, of course, he who submits his face to Allah (i.e. consigns himself to Allah) and becomes a man of excellence (Divine vision) in piety will find his reward with his Lord. Such people will neither fear anything nor grieve. (2:112)

These verses ultimately prove that Allah admires submission to His will the most. So we should be thankful to Allah for His blessings and be patient in every trial, calamity and ailment. Infact, submitting to the Divine will during ups and downs of life, whether trial or troubles, ease or difficulty, health or disease, satiation or hunger is the favourite act near Allah. Consequently, there remains no fear or grief for those who submit to the Divine will.

Sayings of Saints

Saying of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen

Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib ur Rehman says in his famous book Shams-ul-Fuqara:

  • The Divine desire  overcomes  the  Mystics  to  such  an extent  that  they  never  become  sad  and  aggrieved  during  the worst    Rather,  they  always remain  happy or  it  is to say:
  • سرِ تسلیم خم ہے جو مزاجِ یارمیں آئے۔

Meaning:  “I surrender to my Beloved’s wish.”

Also at  this  level,  Allah  blesses  them  with  His  unique  Light and  the  Divine  union  and  grants them  a  new  spiritual  life every  moment  from  the hidden world.

Sayings of Sultan Bahoo RA

Sultan Bahoo RA says:

  • Meaning: O Bahoo! End of every job must be according to the consent of the Beloved and for that one should acquire the essence of His gnosis, not the apparent knowledge which is like crust.
  • Adopt the path of trust upon Allah and submit yourself to the Divine will.

Sultan Bahoo relates a tradition from the  book  Asrar-ul-Fatiha :

  • “One day Hassan of  Basra,  Malik  bin  Dinar,  Shafiq  Balkhi  and  Rabia  of  Basra were  discussing  about  truthfulness  in  a

Hassan of  Basra  said,

“One  who  does  not  adopt  patience  upon  the  pain inflicted  by  Allah  is  not  truthful  to  his  claim  of  love  with  Allah”.

Rabia  said,

“This  seems  to  be  an  egoistic  statement,  truthfulness can  be  defined  in  a  better  way”.

Shafiq  Balkhi  said,

“That  person is  not  truthful  to  his  claim  of love  with  Allah  who  does  not  enjoy the  pain  given  by  Allah.”

Then Rabia  said,

“This  statement  also  reflects pride,  one  must  define  truthfulness  more  properly”.

Malik  bin Dinar  said,

“One  who  is  not  thankful  to  Allah  upon  the  pain given  by  Him  is  not  truthful  to  his  claim  of  love  with  Allah.”

Rabia said,

“One  must  be  so  much  engrossed  in  the observation  of  his  Beloved  Allah  that  he  forgets  all  his  pains, otherwise  he  is  not  truthful  to  his  claim  of  love  with  Allah.””

In conclusion,  Fakir  Bahoo  says  to  all  these  Saints,

“One  who  does  not  forget his  ownself  as  well  as  the  observation  and  drown  completely  in the  Divine  Oneness  is  not  truthful  to  his  claim  of  love  with Allah.” (Ain-ul-Faqr)

Allah has created us for His gnosis

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

  • وَ مَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَ الۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ (الذاریات۔ ۵۶)

Meaning: And I created the jinn and human beings solely to adopt My servitude (51:56)

Moreover Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas says in the exegesis of this verse that لِیَعۡبُدُوۡنِ  (for servitude) actually means لِیَعۡرِفوۡنِ  (for the gnosis).

Which means Allah has actually created us for His gnosis. Unless one acquires gnosis of Allah he could neither know what is the will of Allah nor can mould his deeds according to His will and please Him. Undoubtedly only physical prayers cannot lead to gnosis of Allah.

Recognition of innerself:

It is a Hadith that:

  • مَنْ عَرَفَ نَفْسَہُ فَقَدْ عَرَفَ رَبَّہ

Meaning: One who recognizes himself, recognizes Allah.

The above Hadith seems incomprehensible that we are talking about the gnosis of Allah while the Hadith says that recognizing ownself leads to recognition of Allah. In fact, the gnosis of Allah is related to our esoteric self. If our esoteric self is clean and pure only then we can recognize Allah. As the soul is inside man and Allah is also inside him.

Allah says in Holy Quran:

  • وَ فِیۡۤ   اَنۡفُسِکُمۡ ؕ اَفَلَا  تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ(الذاریات۔ ۲۱)

Meaning: And I am in your selves (as well). So do you not notice? (54:21)

A Hadith says:

Meaning: Neither the earth can contain me nor the skies but the inward of true believer can.

Another Hadith says:

Hadith:

Meaning: The inward of the true believer is Allah’s Throne.

Company of perfect spiritual guide is incumbent to know the Divine will

In fact, the physical being which we adorn and prettify contains the hidden Essence of Allah Whom we not even try to recognize. Therefore, to achieve this we need the company of a perfect spiritual guide. But the condition is that he could clean our esoteric self by the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad. As the door to esoteric self is unlocked only by invoking the king of invocations Hoo with breaths. However,  it must be received from an accomplished spiritual guide. Only then the man could have Divine vision, understand will of Allah, live life according to His will and achieve success. Allah Almighty says about those who have satisfied innerself and pure inward:

  • یٰۤاَیَّتُہَا النَّفۡسُ الۡمُطۡمَئِنَّۃُ ارۡجِعِیۡۤ اِلٰی  رَبِّکِ رَاضِیَۃً  مَّرۡضِیَّ   (الفجر۔۲۸،۲۷)

Meaning: O contented (pleased) self! Return to your Lord in such a state that you are both the aspirant to, and the aspired of, His pleasure (i.e., you seek His pleasure and He seeks yours). (89:27,28)

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants king of invocations Hoo

The perfect Shaikh of Sarwari Qadri order Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman gives the king of invocations Hoo for invocation and Ism-e-Allah Zaat for contemplation to the seekers of Allah on the very first day of taking oath of allegiance. Through this the seeker eventually gets rid of all idols other than Allah and appetites of innerself. Thus his foremost priority becomes the consent of Allah. As a result All his prayers and deeds mould according to Allah’s will. If every breath passes while invoking Hoo then the seeker spends each moment  his life in remembrance of Allah which ultimately leads to His closeness and gnosis.

Conclusion:

Conclusively, the main purpose of man is to have gnosis of Allah. Therefore It is necessary to mould ourselves according to the will of Allah. We can only fulfill this purpose by the company of a perfect and accomplished spiritual guide. May Allah help us to recognize His will and to live accordingly. Amen
