successors-khalifahs

So far Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has granted succession to Seven fortunate disciples. These Seven disciples are as follows:

Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Murtaza Najib Sahib

On 21st November 2018, at the event of annual Mawlid al-Nabi, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen granted succession to Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Murtaza Najib. He reiterated the incident of Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Murtaza’s oath of allegiance and said:

“On the occasion of Urs Sultan-ul-Tarikeen on 22nd October 2016 I granted my turban to Mohammad Murtaza. When a spiritual guide grants his turban (dastar) to someone that means he bestowed Khilafat (succession) to that individual. But I did not announce it that day because of certain reasons. Today I declare Mohammad Murtaza Najib as my khalifa (successor). I also grant him my family headship after me. Moreover, I bound him to be nice to his sisters, my disciples and devotees. I also designate him as my sajjadah nashin (shrine care taker).”

Vice Patron in Chief of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr

On the occasion of Mawlid ceremony on 21st November 2018 Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen further added:

“I proclaim Mohammad Murtaza as the Vice-Patron in Chief of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr. Therefore, it is mandatory on all attendees and devotees to regard him according to his granted status. Moreover, I direct all my successors after me to honour and value Mohammad Murtaza as he is my son. I also advice Mohammad Murtaza not to stop anyone from visiting my shrine. As I’d not like anyone to suffer the way I did.” (The sons of Sultan-ul-Faqr VI have prohibited Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen from visiting the shrine of his beloved spiritual guide).

Sultan Mohammad Abdullah Iqbal

On 21st March 2019 on the event of Mawlid ceremony regarding transference of the trust of Faqr, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen addressed his disciples and devotees. In his address he bestowed Mohammad Abdullah Iqbal with his turban and granted him Khilafat (succession). Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen also praised his devotion with which he always served him despite his strict job responsibilities.

Sultan Dr. Mohammad Hasnain Mehboob

On 21st March 2019, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen also commended the sincerity and dedication of Hasnain Mehboob and his family who have been with him since 2011. He bestowed him with his turban and Khilafat as well.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen permitted his khalifas to perform their duties as successors and prayed for their perseverance in the path of Faqr.

Sultan Mohammad Nasir Hameed

At the sacred occasion of Mawlid celebrated on 10 November 2019, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman granted Khilafat (spiritual succession) to Nasir Hammed Sarwari Qadri. Whilst addressing the devotees on the occasion Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen said, “Nasir Hameed is a very loyal disciple of ours. He stood by me through thick and thin. He faced hardships, tribulations and sacrificed his every penny in the way of Allah. He left his home for Allah. He rejected everything just for me. Therefore, today I grant him my khilafat and put my turban on his head. I pray that Allah may bless him steadfastness and success.”

Sultan Mohammad Naeem Abbas

During the Mawlid event that was held at the khanqah Sarwari Qadri on 10 November 2019, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman conferred his spiritual succession to Naeem Abbas Sarwari Qadri. Whilst addressing the devotees on the occasion, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen said, “The Sarwari Qadri way originates from the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and through Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani it reaches Sultan Bahoo. From Sultan Bahoo it reached my beloved spiritual guide who then passed the Divine Trust to me. Therefore, in recognition of the unparalleled struggles and sacrifices, today I grant Naeem Abbas Khokhar with my khilafat (spiritual succession) and put my turban on his head (as a custom and tradition in the Sarwari Qadri order). I pray in the court of Allah that He may bless him steadfastness and complete his journey of Divine Light in my life.”

Moreover, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen made him the lifetime supervisor of “Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen” and “Masjid-e-Zuhra”.

Sultan Mohammad Nasir Majeed

On 21st March 2021, on the event of Mawlid ceremony regarding transference of the trust of Faqr, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen bestowed Nasir Majeed Sarwari Qadri with his turban and granted him Khilafat (succession). Sultan ul Ashiqeen also praised his generosity with which he had been contributing in the way of Allah, “He did not keep anything as a back up for his family while giving in the way of Allah be it car, be it house, nothing.” After a brief pause, Sultan ul Ashiqeen added, “I pray that Allah grant them (Hammad ur Rehman and Nasir Majid) consistency and complete Noor upon them. I will train them during my lifetime.”

Sultan Mohammad Hammad ur Rehman

At the sacred occasion of Mawlid celebrated on 21st March 2021, Sultan ul Ashiqeen granted Khilafat (spiritual succession) to Professor Hammad ur Rehman Sarwari Qadri. Whilst addressing the devotees, Sultan ul Ashiqeen said, “Hammad has been with me eversince I started working for Allah from a small room. He is quite educated. Despite all the ups and downs, problems I faced and enmity he faced from his relatives, he left his family. 2 achievements are at his credit: when we shifted to Khanqah of Sarwari Qadri Order, he is the one who started its system. Likewise, when we shifted to Khanqah Sultan ul Ashiqeen, he was the same person who started it. He is the one who handled the locals of this area for the smooth management of Khanqah affairs. Today, I grant him my Khilafat after his long period of struggles. He has even taken a house on rent nearby to be able to work for khanqah more efficiently.” After a brief pause, Sultan ul Ashiqeen added, “I pray that Allah grant them (Hammad ur Rehman and Nasir Majid) consistency and complete Noor upon them. I will train them during my lifetime.”
