A huge number of people from all over the country attend the annual spiritual gatherings held under the supervision of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. On such gatherings, he blesses the seekers of Allah with his beneficent company. Moreover, his appointed disciples arrange special food for visitors (langar) on a large scale on these events. Some of the events are as follows:
Mawlid of Prophet Mohammad is celebrated in khanqah of Sarwari Qadri order with great splendor on 12th Rabi al-awwal annually. All disciples participate in it with great zeal and zest. They start its preparations two months earlier and prepare encomiums and speeches elaborating grandeur of the Holy Prophet. On the holy occasion, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen graces the khanqah, then disciples present the encomiums and speeches. Afterwards, langar is served. Then, everyone gains the privilege of meeting Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen personally. Moreover, those who want to take oath of allegiance also get the opportunity.
Furthermore, on this holy event, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen also grants Ism-e-Mohammad to his disciples who have crossed the initial spiritual levels. Undoubtedly, contemplation of Ism-e-Mohammad further elevates them. Additionally, makes it easier for them to follow the path of Faqr by the benediction of Prophet Mohammad.
All guests leave the gathering after getting showers of Divine light and spiritual beneficence of the Holy Prophet.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s disciples also celebrate a grand Mawlid-Al-Nabi on 21st March every year with great enthusiasm regarding the day of transference of Divine Trust to him. This is the greatest and grandest gathering of disciples of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Not only from all over Pakistan but also from abroad his disciples attend this Mawlid with extreme devotion. In this gathering they recite Hamd, Naat and the eulogies written by disciples of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen who have attained to his divine reality through invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. These eulogies elaborate his grand status near Allah as well as his infinite beneficence upon his seekers. Besides, disciples also deliver speeches shedding light upon his biography, charismatic personality, endless struggle to spread Faqr and matchless grandeur. After the program, grand langar is served to all guests. At the end, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen personally meets everyone and blesses them with his kindness.
This is the second event of the year after Mawlid, where Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants Ism-e-Mohammad.
Commemoration of Urs Ceremonies
Apart from these two grand gatherings, other events Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen annually holds in khanqah are:
- Commemoration of martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali on 10th Moharram
- Commemoration of death anniversary of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani in Rabi ath-Thani
- Death anniversary of Sultan Bahoo in Jumada ath-Thani
- Death anniversary of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali.
Large number of people from all over the country attend this events and gain blessings of these Saints through Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
Female disciples of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen celebrate all these events at Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen house under the presidentship of his respected wife.
Every year, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen commemorates the death anniversary of Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah. He holds the ceremony in the month of September and October with special arrangements and grandeur.
Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah is the leader (Imam) and perfect guide (Shaikh-e-Kamil) of Sarwari Qadri order after Sultan Bahoo. His shrine is located in Ahmadpur East (Ahmadpur Sharqiah), Bahawalpur.
In March 2011, Sultan Bahoo ordered Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen to reconstruct the shrine of Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah. He also ordered him to provide food for visitors of the shrine.
Therefore, to fulfill this responsibility, in September 2011, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman visited the shrine of Mohammad Abdullah Shah. There he became extremely disheartened at the poor state of the shrine. His shrine was only a small room and only one pillar remained erect whereas the other three had fallen.
Hence, in May 2012, Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman started the reconstruction of the shrine. He did so by the permission of the sajjada nashin (shrine caretaker) Shams-ul-Haq. For this task, he appointed the shrine attendant, Nur Mohammad as the supervisor and some other disciples as helpers. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen instructed to build four minarets on all four corners of the shrine similar to the shrine Sultan Bahoo. Likewise, he had them painted and decorated with glazed tiles. Moreover, on his instruction, on all four corners, within the minarets, they built turrets. Which they also painted and decorated with glazed tiles. Moreover, they tiled the verandah and built the grave with marble. Hence, on the 30th August 2012, the shrine reconstruction completed. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen had it built in such a way that it presented a reflection of Sultan Bahoo’s shrine.
Grand Urs at Shrine
After the completion of the sacred shrine, on the 2nd September 2012, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen arranged a grand Urs at the shrine. At this event, disciples recited manqabat (encomiums) and delivered speeches in honour of Sultan-ul-Tarikeen Sultan Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah. This enlightened the audience with his life and teachings as well as his elevated spiritual status. Also, people became aware of the fact that Mohammad Abdullah Shah is the spiritual descendant and heir of Sultan Bahoo.
At the end of the Urs, Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman requested Sayyid Abdullah Shah to restart his spiritual benevolence. Sayyid Abdullah Shah was so satisfied with the efforts of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen that he accepted this request. He also made his spiritual benevolence limited to the organization of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Since Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the only one who has made tremendous efforts just to restart Sultan Mohammad Abdullah Shah’s spiritual benevolence. During this Urs, the center of Faqr transferred from the shrine of Mohammad Bahadur Ali Shah to Sayyid Abdullah Shah.
Incidence of Urs 2017
After 2012, Sultan-ul-Ashqieen started celebrating the Urs of Sayyid Abdullah Shah with much enthusiasm. However, on 14-15 October 2017, when disciples had completed all arrangements of the Urs, the shrine caretaker Shams-ul-Haq took stay order. He stopped the event by blaming the organization to be taking custody of the shrine. While, on 24th October when the date of Urs had passed, he took the case back. Indeed, the purpose was clear i.e. to stop the Urs event.
Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah and Sultan Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah spiritually ordered Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen to remain quiet in this regard. As now they will handle this matter. However, they declared that now the center of Faqr is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen himself.
